Rahel, our hostess was very very responsive in answering to all our queries prior to our arrival at the resort. She assisted us in arranging for transportation to Makassar airport and hiring a boat to Liukang Island, she was extremely efficient and helpful. Breakfast was awesome and plentiful. We have an excellent sea view from our room and we loved the hammocks too. Sharil and the boys were simply amazing, always willing to assist with a smile! We had an amazing time.
The place fully satisfies basic needs of an independent traveller. It has an air conditioning unit, free wifi with reasonable speed and bathroom. You wouldn't enjoy spending daylight hours here, but if you have sorted out your daytime activities it provides good rest during the night. The hostess is attentive and helpful.
The host Irma is the heart of the homestay. She arranged everything, helped whenever needed, also even upfront for transportation etc.
The homestay is simple, but absolutely fine for being on a little island with almost no tourists. Electricity is usually available btw. 6 pm and 7 am, what was absolutely fine for us. Really good breakfast and dinner (dinner is extra, but can be absolutely recommended).
We picked a sea view bungalow.
The bungalow had an amazing porch with two hammocks. These were great to chill in and enjoy the sea breeze.
The room was big with two fans, AC wasn’t needed when we stayed in November.
The food was super tasty and cheap - recommend the banana pancakes for breakfast.
The staff were all super friendly and helpful.
Super host - very friendly and nice place directly at the beach (here you can also find some shedow during the whole day) totally recommend this Place!
The bungalows are simple and very nicely decorated. The views are to die for. I loved the stairs straight down to the beach, the hammock on the veranda, simplicity, small scale and the overall value for money.
The food is yummy and the staff and owner very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Guesthouse has a perfect location in calm area of Bara. Very beautiful beach is literaly few steps from the place. It's possible to use kitchen which is nice. Hosts are very welcoming and helpful, they arranged a scooter rental and transport to Makassar. The room was very clean, has AC and amazing view.
