The views and property itself was amazing. JB was very attentive to our concerns. He arranged private transportation for us and even accommodated our early arrival of 430am.

Lee and Elaine’s place is a paradise. That have beautiful views on both sides, mountain and lake side. They have cozy full equipped houses, we stayed in the cabin that faces the lake and it was wonderful. We enjoyed every minute. They also rent kayaks and that it’s also fun to do in the beautiful lake Atitlan. They are very nice and helpful . Very nice place to stay. I definitely want to return.

I've visited over 20 countries and stayed at all kinds of lodging in dozens of cities. The hospitality of Javier and Maria has so far been unmatched. Their attentiveness and generosity towards guests is unparalleled in my experience. Because it only has two rooms with two beds each, we were able to be sole guests during our stay. Do not miss the Temescal experience led by Maria.
The sunrise views are spectacular.
Although, it's very tranquil, like any good traveler, bring earplugs as some town dogs might serenade you in the middle of the night, but nothing that should disrupt your sleep or tranquility. This is good advice for most towns in Lake Atitlan.
Also, notify Javier Mendez of your estimated arrival as there's a three minute walk to the site and best if led by him.
The rooms are quite of a good size, lots of room to move around.
I highly recommend it. It's not the Hilton, but very charming and comfortable. I plan to come back next time I'm in Atitlan.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
Great location in quiet part of Santa Cruz. Property stands in own gardens with fabulous views over Lake Atitlan. Short walk to shops. Would suit people looking for seclusion and privacy. Quirky - in a good way.
Very nice family! It’s not a Hostel, it’s a Homestay with a beautiful view over the lake and Indian Nose. You get to know the family. Kids are playing around. Very friendly little dog and a cat is there too. Marisa the Host and her Mom are very great people, always friendly and helpful. I loved them, also the kids.
Great location. Very chill atmosphere and within walking distance to downtown San Pedro (less than 10 minutes). Beds were comfy and there was also warm water in the showers. Quiet, and a great place to relax. Very good value for your money, and Michael at reception is helpful and nice. There's a kitchen if you want to cook and prepare your own food.
Imelda and her family were exceptional hosts! Did everything to make us feel welcome, with all the little extras (towels, soaps) that make you feel at home. Spotlessly clean, comfortable and quiet in a tucked away street away from the hustle and bustle of the town.
It was Imeldas birthday while we stayed and the family brought up a plate of traditional food and birthday cake for us after her party, so kind! Thank you Imelda and family for an amazing unforgettable stay in your beautiful home.
