I like how quit is that place, the owner and his helpers are so politely, I have videos when one of the helpers invite us to join him to listen how hi was singing, we have a good memory of that much moment with my wife and my little baby, we definitely will return, thanks for that experience.

They have a small restaurant/kitchen downstairs, and the friendly ladies there will cook you up a nice pasta (or something else) for a fair price. The one redeeming quality about this property for me was the friendliness of the staff. Also, the location is in the city and up a hill. Multiple supermarkets, restaurants, tiendas, and more are very nearby. They gave me a room with 3 beds in it even though I was the only one there, so my room was quite big.

La iguana Perdida is a great hostel. The people are very friendly and helpfull. You will feel at home right away!
We also did a fun dive at the lake with a very kind and helpfull dive instructor who did everything to make us feel comfortable.
We joined the shared dinner 2 times and it was delicious. Always with a veggie or other diets possibility.

Great location with the best sunset views! It was a very spacious apartment with a well equipped kitchen. The updated bathroom is a big plus, you have nice vulcano views while taking a shower :). Also good contact with the host. Also, all the boats know the sunset lodge so its easy to get around by lancha.
Location was fantastic. Hostel located right in front of boat dock. Really nice and big social terrace area. Great sun trap. The views from this hostel are fantastic. Cheap happy hour and brilliant themed nights. Staff are so friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend the family evening meals as the walk up to Santa Cruz is steep and not much going on in the town. Very residential
Santa Cruz is a very quiet little town on the edge of the lake, other than the hostel there really isn't much else - you won't find many restaurants/cafes unless you're willing to use the boat service. The hostel is perfectly set up for this - it's large with a great amount of communal space including darts/(table) pool. Every evening there is a "family dinner" for quite a reasonable price, that was well-attended. Three courses of food and a great opportunity to chat to other travellers.
