I booked Metohi Nature Living for 3 nights on very short notice after a terrible Airbnb experience and my first night in Crete. I'm very glad I chose this place - the hosts were incredibly helpful and accommodating and really made me feel comfortable. I was able to properly relax for the first time since arriving on the island, and it served as an excellent base for my two day trips in Eastern Crete.

The location is beautiful - the apartments are on a hillside, with a view over Lasithi plateau. The room was very spacious and decorated in traditional Greek style. The breakfast was delicious and big (just 7€ per person), with a wide variety of local products. Nearby are couple of trekking trails, one of them starts just above the apartments. In a 10min-walk-distance is a town with 2 taverns and a shop. The staff was great, very helpful.

They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Great vacation in a great location. The apartament is near the sea (5-7 min by foot). Very attentive and pleasant hosts- Anna and Leandors- always ready to help. Even took us to Lidl for big first food shopping. Also treated us with some wine and homemade raki.
Nice beach and sea bottom (without any sharp stones, like in some other beaches). Quiet area - great for family vacation. Night life, cafes, bars is 15-20 min walk.

Great location, great host - really helpful with area, room, taxis etc etc. Pool and sun loungers were great and the whole accommodation was very quiet, so never had to worry about no space! Room is self contained and has its own kitchen with everything needed too.
Updated hotel that is well maintained, everything was new and very clean, well equipped kitchen, good atmosphere around the pool area, friendly and responsive hosts, great location to be central to chersonissos and completely out of the noise if you prefer quiet. Highly recommend.

Modern and clean apartment in quiet area very close to Koutoufoulari. Decent size and all well equipped. Great host, we were able to check out late as there were no arriving guests after us.
Amazing hosts. Exceptional ladies running the bar attached which is the check-in and breakfast spot for the accommodation. These ladies really look after you, even though breakfast was included in the price. Still went above and beyond. Great location just back off the main road and strip. Quiet, never got woken up from noise. Parking spot for the car down the side. was great
Very clean and spacious room. Great pool and bar area. Along with the usual bar snacks, the homemade Greek dishes were delicious and as good as you would get it any local restaurant. Very quiet and relaxing location away from the bigger tourist areas. Great hosts and a lovely dog for company, would stay here again anytime.
Kon was a great host and was extremely hospitable. Not only was it a great location it was made even better by great reccomendations for local foods and places to go or see. Nothing was too difficult and the reception even organized transport for whatever we wanted to do.
