Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Super friendly service, the hosts were catering to any possible needs. Breakfast was amazing, location of the Hotel was also excellent - walking distance to the city center and the port, while rooms were still quiet.
We loved the enchanting location in the old town of Anos Syros. Super comfortable beds and beautiful medieval restored rooms. Idyllic pool overlooking the city. Nestled within quiet streets of the old town with quaint bars and restaurants. Alexis, Constantine and the whole Wind Tales team were amazing, welcoming hosts. Helped us plan excursions and nice bars and restaurants to visit. This made our trip even more memorable.
Very clean and modern with plenty of room with the living area and large bedroom and bathroom. The host was lovely and very helpful meeting us and arranging taxis to the port when we left! About a 15 minute walk to the main sights of Ermoupoli, so great value for money if you don’t mind that. If you are hard of walking or travelling alone, please note that you may be better off getting taxis as there’s hills/steps and it’s very quiet and dark in this area but taxis were cheap (€5). Overall a wonderful stay!
A nice clean comfortable room in a very convenient and pleasant area close to the port and in the city centre . An easy walk everywhere . Pleasant host and quiet location .
The host family is so charming! I would’ve loved to speak greek to be able to have a nice conversation with them. The man in charge of the apartments was waiting for me outside the apartment once I arrived in the ferry. He showed me every thing. The room was quite nice and cozy. Great location.
The guesthouse is located very close to the port (5min walking) and city centre (8min walking) with restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Nonetheless it’s a quiet side street so you do not hear traffic.
The room was nicely decorated and had aircon, fridge, hairdryer. I only missed having a kettle to prepare a morning café.
The rooftop was great for reading a book.
Upon arrival Katharina enthusiastically provided useful information and was very kind.
