Richmond Lane Guest House - AA Accredited, hotel in Winchester

Set just 14 km from The Mayflower Theatre, Richmond Lane Guest House - AA Accredited features accommodation in Romsey with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as bicycle parking.

This is a spotlessly clean, very well equipped and very comfortable, well heated and well ventilated cabin. Our host James was very welcoming and helpful. The cabin is situated in a private area of the garden at the back of the guest house and is very quiet. All of the breakfast provisions for our stay were in the cabin and the variety and amounts were very generous. We would definitely recommend and would be very happy to return.

Abbey Lodge Guest House, hotel in Winchester

Attractively set in Southampton, Abbey Lodge Guest House features a buffet breakfast and free WiFi.

Guest house was "No Vacancies" In fact it had only a couple of other guests. We had booked a basic twin room ("the last room"); hostesses did not offer us an ensuite twin room. In out room, there was only a washbasin, with NO HOT WATER. At breakfast, all tables were fully laid, despite the place being empty; no room to spread. Hostess brought toast first! When will they learn?! There was no guest lounge. I wish I'd stayed at the Premier Inn round the corner.

Cosy room in stafford road, hotel in Winchester

Cosy room in stafford road is set in Southampton, 1.8 km from Southampton Guildhall, 3.4 km from Southampton Cruise Terminal, and 8.5 km from Ageas Bowl.

Radiators turned on, so there was warm. I could park on the drive because there was no other car but mine, but there was no space to park in the street, contrary to what the advert said.

The location is fantastic, St James Villa is a 5 minute walk to Winchester city centre, but leafy and quiet and residential. The decor is quintessential English opulence. I love it, completely unique, one of a kind and with the best host. Alex is charming and the perfect host.

We really liked the location, both the elegant quiet street lined with beautiful Georgian houses and its easy walking distance from the city centre, cathedral etc. Alex our host was extremely friendly and helpful, our bedroom was comfortable and well equipped with everything we wanted. We were fascinated by all the paintings, antique furniture, ceramics, chandeliers, candelabra etc etc.

Perfectly placed a short walk from the city centre but still quiet and residential. We didn’t use our car all weekend. The room is beautiful and Esmé has thought of everything you might need to make for a relaxing stay. Very comfortable bed and a shower to die for. Esmé is the best host, so warm and friendly. We just loved our stay and would return in a heartbeat.

It was in a great location close to the city centre and train station but quiet at night. It had all the facilities you could need for self-catering. It was very cosy and had lots of space, It was also very secure with two coded doors.

Everything. It was just stunning. The house is beautifully decorated with exquisite paintings and unusual things everywhere. It is a feast for your eyes. My host was charming, friendly and so helpful. This was the most perfect place to stay to be near the town centre but in a quiet street, away from any traffic noise.
