Very pleasant traditional B&B in a wonderful location. Large, comfortable room with a fantastic view. Very friendly and helpful owner and staff and a great breakfast.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Fabulous hosts. Went above and beyond to make us welcome. Spotlessly clean modern bedroom. Fantastic view of loch and close to Kennacraig ferry. Excellent breakast.
This is a well run, clean and quiet bed and breakfast in an excellent location for the Islay ferry. The furnishings are a high standard and it is a bonus to be able to have an alcoholic drink in the lounge in the evening. You can walk into Tarbert along a pavement for an evening meal.
I picked it for its closeness to the ferry but it's a lovely spot in its own right, quiet overlooking the loch and close to a little town with a harbour. I arrived late in the evening by arrangement, the hosts had made provision for this. The room was perfect for a single guest and looked newly done out as did the whole place. Fantastic cooked breakfast added for a reasonable rate which did me for the whole day!
Very nice and quiet, right next to the loch with sea views. Room was very clean and recently renovated. Breakfast was great. Host was fantastic, picked me up because I had a flat tire a few miles from the place and organized the fixing.
This was an overnight stay prior to catching the ferry to Islay. and thus its location was ideal being very near the ferry terminal. Very clean and comfortable. Friendly and helpful hosts. Plenty of private parking. Great location overlooking the Loch.
Sheila and Bruce were such lovely hosts. They couldn't have been more welcoming. Our room was lovely and the breakfast was exceptional. We were going to catch the ferry to Islay and this guest house was only a couple of miles away from the ferry terminal.
