Location best we could find for our needs, although a little further afield than we would have wanted, However, the bonus was proximity to the sea front and village. We originally booked for one night, but requested a second for which we changed room, and the cleaning team were very helpful.
Just a minute's walk to West Cliff Beach, Clacton-On-Sea town centre and Clacton-On-Sea pier, The Sandrock has free WiFi. A full English breakfast is freshly cooked and served every morning.

Great little place for a peaceful stopover, away from the main road and noisy seagulls and bustle of Clacton! Slept well. Plates, bowls and cutlery provided under the bed in case you need them.

THE ROOM WAS CLEAN, BUT COULD HAVE DONE WITHAN UPLIFT,ALSO THERE COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER NOISE INSULATION AS YOU CAN HEAR EVERYTHING FROM UPSTAIRS, I WOULD SUGGEST PUTTING IN A FAULSE CELING TO PUT MORE SOUND PROOFING IN.

I FOUND THE BATHROOM VERY CLOSTRAPHOBIC AS THERE WAS NO WINDOW & THE EXTRACTOR FAN WAS VERY NOISY & YOU COULD HEAR THE ONE UPSTAIRS ALSO. ALSO I THOUGHT THE SHOWER COULD HAVE DONE WITH A FOLD DOWN SEAT FOR THOSE WHO CAN'T STAND VERY LONG OR AT LEAST A GRAB-RAIL.

The cottage was delightful and charming. Bed was very comfortable, with good bedlinen. Differently back to Mersea Island
