Highly, highly recommended. Everything was exactly as shown on the photos- absolutely amazing- fancy and clean bathroom with a powerful shower, warm, beautiful decor, all furnishings were well-kept and high hotel-standard. Comfy bed and covers, lots of mirrors, windows, plug sockets- all the little things have been thought about. Hosts left milk and breakfast, tea and coffee, with a super-fancy kettle (it's the little things, no?!). All this set in a wonderful green, tree-filled landscape. 20 minutes by cab from Chester. The little town up the road has nice high street cafes and places to eat. We went up for a weekend from London, we walked lots on one day, went out in Chester at night, then went to Liverpool (45mins on the train) the next day.

We loved the whole visit to the pheasant inn, we booked on route to the area. Looking through properties, the pheasant stood out to myself , for the ratings, description and photos. We arrived from Suffolk to a warm welcome, very efficient check in , a beautiful room and within 30 minutes were in the beautiful pheasants restaurant eating a very delicious meal. We booked a king room which was exactly like the photo showed and the bed was very comfortable , bathrobes, tea, coffee etc all very nice and breakfast the next morning lovely. My only regret was that we couldn’t stay longer but we are all ready planning a stay there with other family members in the near future.

Short walk to town centre and railway station. Good for bars shops and restaurants. Quiet location. We were yery satisfied
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
This gorgeous cottage was a home from home. It was in a great location: quiet and in the countryside yet so close to so many things to do. Our family of 4 LOVED this cottage. It had 2 lovely bedrooms and the living room and kitchen had all the facilities needed for a self catering break. Would 100% recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet location near to Chester.
Great location, easy to access and communicate with the host. Particularly taken by the very deep blue walls and pleased it was quiet despite being on a main road.
Only 1 guest. The quiest place you will ever book in the UK, no other guests, neighbours or roads. Good location for a stop in many roadtrips. Vey Cozy and beautiful inside and surroundings. The host makes it easy and is very friendly and flexible. It is not cheap, but valur for money is clear.
Quaint but property is small. Beautiful location.
This particular cottage is for couples only but people with families looking for larger properties it is a great location for families loads of room for young ones to left off steam.
Live the homemade lemon drizzle cake on arrival
Clean room in a quiet location, with everything that we needed. Breakfast is simple but got us on the way in the morning. A very pleasant surprise that Sky Sport F1 package was included, so we did not miss the Formula One qualification! Hosts are available but make themselves invisible, something we prefer. Would certainly stay again when in the area.
