Tate House, hotel in Alnwick

Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated Tate House offers accommodation with a shared lounge and free WiFi.

We liked the self check in aspect, how clean and cosy the room was and just how the little attention to details were great. From a hot water bottle in the wardrobe to the fact in the kitchen downstairs there was oat milk available (muchly appreciated for a dairy-free girl who loves a brew) and all the other little touches. The location is lovely and so central to all of Alnwick. Fantastic night away had by us both and just the little treat we wanted! Thank you

The hosts Mark & Monique are a lovely couple. Our room was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a very enjoyable stay . Great location for restaurants and pubs a short walk away . They have a very sunny guest garden where we enjoyed an early evening glass of wine . Breakfast was tasty , I particularly enjoyed the overnight oats with delicious fresh fruit followed by a cooked breakfast, the room had plenty of tea / coffee facilities. A good powerful hair dryer .

When we arrived Michael gave us the option to upgrade to the bigger room , this room was so lovey , spacious, clean and you felt like he had thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable! Breakfast was really tasty, a nice selection and good quality . The location was great just a 5 min walk into the town and to the harbour. Bamburgh castle was just a 10min drive. Michael was a great host , he even suggested places for us to go and visit. I would really recommend Farne Island bed and breakfast.

The guest house was quiet clean and well appointed. The staff was welcoming and efficient. The location was very good and would have been ideal if it was summer. It is a brief walk to the main streets of town and directly across from access to miles of beach. The breakfast was superb. The price was a surprise relative to our experience at other guesthouse prices.
