Guest house was great with excellent room facilities. Beds comfortable and room clean with good selection of hot drinks to make. Breakfast was served well with plenty of choice.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Breakfast was absolutely fantastic and all local produce, The meals in the evening, again were excellent-we tried another pub in Reeth one night but it wasn't a patch on the Buck. Shaun and Stacy are wonderful hosts/owners of the Buck and our stay couldn't have been better--BUT-- we could have done with a bit more Yorkshire "Sunshine"--and I loved the soccer theme in the Gents LOL
It's a great location. The bedroom was comfortable. The food was good with several vegetarian options and the bar open when we wanted a drink. We liked the log fires in the bar. The staff were really helpful.
Great location, a short walk from Reeth and surrounded by beautiful countryside. Nice and quiet. Plenty of room in the house and the kitchen was perfect to be used as a hub for meals etc. Plenty of parking and outside space. Main lounge was cosy and big enough to accommodate everyone. Great facilities as there was a fully equipped kitchen and utility room. Hot tub was private.
What an amazing cottage, very luxurious and exceptional clean. Everything thought of by the hosts. Very helpful and wow what a great location. Highly recommend in fact going to book again next year.
Paul and Wendy were great hosts, happy to discuss and inform about the local area. The room was better than expected and a perfect base for touring Swaledale, Wensleydale, Cumbria, Richmondshire Teesdale and south Durham.
Comfortable well equipped cottage in great location for walking/exploring the area. Hosts very helpful; excellent communication.
