Tirionfa Guest House, hotel in Pwllheli

Situated less than 1 km from Criccieth Beach, 13 km from Portmeirion and 34 km from Snowdon, Tirionfa Guest House offers accommodation set in Criccieth.

Tirionfa is beautifully situated on the corner of a pretty lane in lovely Criccieth. Most things in this small town, with its gorgeous views and coastline, are a ten minute walk away, with the station and some of the shops even nearer. I came by train but there is parking at the guest house. The rooms are very spacious, thoughtfully designed and attractive - simple but stylish. I like a nice light in a room, and the windows were lovely and elegant. (I know some rooms have little balconies.) My double-bed was extremely tempting as the mattress was so comfortable. Everything worked well, there was good quality body wash and shampoo, a brilliant shower, snug towels. The kettle had tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits and water by it and there was a smart TV and hairdryer. Downstairs there's a room with a fridge for guest, and with books, local info etc. Most of all, the hosts, Tina and Marcelo, were extremely welcoming and kind. They went out of their way to help me enjoy my trip and to make sure I had everything I needed. It could have been a different experience - I nearly had to rearrange my visit to the area because of family issues and I was quite stressed on arrival - though the lovely atmosphere helped me a lot. Thanks to Tina and Marcelo it all went very well. Oh - and I had the best scrambled eggs on toast ever. There's a huge, delicious-looking full breakfast on offer (very popular with guests) and next time I visit, I'll go for that as it also looked wonderful.
