Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Great location & surroundings. Clean, warm and essentials provided. Excellent communication from the host. Enjoyed walking amongst the friendly animals.
Absolutely stunning location in a lovely backdrop. A great location to explore Wales from. House very well presented with everything you need.
Communication good and host more than happy to show you around or provide instructions to access keys and explore yourself.
Beautiful old home in a rural area. Our room was fabulous with a large en suite. Very quiet and peaceful and only 3-4 miles(5-6kms) from Newtown. Excellent breakfast great hosts.
Only cold buffet available at breakfast but of excellent quality and large varied content. Location very tranquil and beautiful. Lovely old victorian house. The ability to relax outside in the evening and have a quiet drink was an extremely nice option for a bed and breakfast accommodation. Very easy to park and drive to sightseeing locations. Very spacious well fitted rooms and beds with plenty of storage,Good location for visiting Powis and Ludlow Castles if that's your want.
Great location for exploring middle of Wales, and for a quiet stay. Spacious with comfortable beds. Fantastic views from the accommodation. Kitchen is well equipped. Felt very welcomed by host.
The Guesthouse is in a great location, close to the main road but in a quiet spot, with lovely surroundings. Mick was a great host, very friendly and did a fantastic fry up for breakfast!
The hosts were lovely. Met and welcomed us on arrival. Showed us to our room. The guest house is situated about a good 30 minutes walk from Newtown. Or 5 mins in the car. Lovely quiet surroundings. The home cooked breakfast was very tasty.
The Gro Guest House provided a nice stay with all the amenities you could need to have a comfortable stay. The location is quiet and the hosts made for a pleasant stay. Brilliant breakfast, and very good value!
Lovely quaint OLD property built 1650.
Large rooms, Power shower, quiet.
Host were very attentive, nothing too much trouble. Excellent breakfast and really nice to sit around a very large table with the other guests and chat rather than on your own.
