The Briers Country House, hotel in Newcastle

This was our second time staying here and the first time was enjoyable so we came back and went for the Superior King room and it was phenomenal. The bed was comfortable, the room was cosy and warm (fan provided in room). They were even nice enough to let us do a late check out which was appreciated. Can’t wait to come back!

Les Trois Blocs, hotel in Newcastle

Les Trois Blocs, a property with a garden, is situated in Newcastle, 48 km from The Waterfront Hall, 48 km from SSE Arena, as well as 49 km from Titanic Belfast.

This place is wonderful - beautifully appointed, every touch is both classy and comfortable, and the hosts couldn't be more obliging and friendly - they made me feel very welcome. I really enjoyed the homemade bread and garden-grown vegetables. It's walking distance from Dundrum, where the pub is excellent too (best pint of Guinness I've had for years, and the food is great). I'll definitely be back!

We loved this cottage. It was spotlessly clean, cosy, in a great location (we had breakfast in the garden with a perfect sea view and a view all the way to the end of the town). It was like a home from home. It had all we needed for our stay. It is pet friendly and our host, Anne, was genuinely welcoming of our dog Jess. We will definitely book Anne’s cottage again if we’re travelling to Newcastle. It’s a lovely town, the highlight for us was Tollymore National Park. It’s beautiful.

It's a great location, right behind Main Street and the layout of the accommodation suits my family well. It's spotlessly clean too and we can bring the cat. The host, Elin, goes out of her way to make sure everything is okay for you and we had everything we needed. Having the 2 well equipped bathrooms was great.

Fantastic breakfast. Great location, Great hosts. Patricia suggested a beautiful walk and leant us maps and guides. She even offered to take us back to our car if we didn't do a circular walk. John and Patricia also have the cutest dog.

The house was in great location and had everything that we needed including wifi. Helena left out toys, books and treats for our son which he loved. Beds were comfy and the kitchen was fully equipped. Helena was a great host and she responded to messages quickly. Would definitely stay here again.
