Friendly staff made us feel welcome and couldn't do enough to make our visit the best. Our room was perfect, clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable ✨️ Could not fault it 100% will definitely go there again and encourage others to visit. A great range of breakfast items. Ruth and Phil very friendly and laid back. I have stayed before and love the little room. It has everything I need for a week away from home. The location is perfect as you can get to the seafront quickly and easily, avoiding many of the hills.
I would highly recommend Charnwood Guest House and definitely book again if I was heading to Lyme Regis.

Ruth and Phil are great hosts with a great guesthouse. I had a warm and welcoming stay at Charnwood - my room and the premises were beautfully presented and maintained. The location was great- a short picturesque stroll along the River Lim takes you to the beach front or town. Breakfast is included each day along with a good chat with Ruth and Phil who offered advice on things to see and do. Wifi was strong with no connectivity problems.
I can’t say enough good things about the Old Lyme Brewhouse, it was well furnished, quaint, and pristine! We had some issues with booking.com’s messages which meant I was unable to access the door code but a quick call to our host and the problem was sorted straight away. The cottage is perfectly positioned to be close to town but also away from the busyness if you want a quiet place to retreat to
Lovely spacious apartment, well equipped and well thought out with comfortable beds. Nice of host to offer a small milk in fridge ready for a morning cuppa. Very attentive and kind host, who is quick to reply and happy to talk through any questions you may have. The apartment is such a great location, right in the middle of all the shops but quiet, while being only a few seconds walk from the beach which you can see in the distance from the windows. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to be back in the future.
