I liked the warm feeling when we arrived at the property and was given instruction to how the facility works from kitchen to what’s available around town

Margaret cooked a fresh breakfast to order, which was excellent. The bed was very comfortable, and the location just outside Derry quiet and a good getaway from the city. Convenient to going to the Causeway. Highly recommend.

The room was beautiful and clean. There is a laundry onsite that is free to use and it was so exciting to wash our clothes! Everything was fabulous and would stay there again.

Very clean, modern, high tech, good internet and appeared to be very new. Location is in the center of all the activity. Perfect place to stay while touring in Derry.

Emmett checked us and in and was fabulous. He made it easy. I like breakfast options, either delivered to Hestia House or walk the two blocks to the Lawrence. The movie room in the basement was cute. You can really see the care they took on the updates to the guest house. I like the funky decor. We had an easy time with street parking.

This was a lovely place to stay. The location perfect for walking around the town. It was very unique to us in that it was a skinny building - probably 1 or 2 rooms per floor for 5 floors! I especially liked the breakfast room here, very small and quaint. It was easy to find and at the time we arrived, plenty of parking.

Large family room with nice view of city. Lovely breakfast room with great breakfast
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
Host Jim was a great host. We were welcomed warmly and Jim is very knowledgeable about the city. Breakfasts were great, bed very comfortable and Bishopsgate is in a great location. A great stay in Derry.
Great Location in the Centre of Derry and warm welcome. Safe free parking near the property. Fully satisfactory breakfast - Cereals, Tea/Coffee, Toast, Yoghurt. Plenty of friendly chat with our host. Comfortable room and considering the central location, quiet at night.
What a lovely, warm welcome. The family that runs the guest house are excellent hosts.
The bed was very comfortable and the whole place was very clean. The breakfast was perfect and set me up for the rest of my day.
It’s in a super location, with an easy 15-20 minute walk to the city centre.
The hosts, Monica and her husband are very nice and welcoming. We were provided with very good service and also tips on what to do in the city. Breakfast was lovely. The location is nice and quiet, and only 10 min. dive to Derry city centre. We enjoyed our stay at Five Oaks.
Great location for a city break, beautifully decorated boutique hotel, great host on arrival, excellent Irish breakfast at the sister hotel a few doors down the street.
Peaceful location in the city centre, tucked away by the Derry Walls.
The host Kieran is utterly charming and nothing is too much trouble for him.
Excellent continental breakfast with a wide choice of cereals, yoghurt and breads. It also has some of the best coffee in town. I would wholeheartedly and unreservedly commend this Guest House to anyone who wishes to explore the city.
