Everything! The grounds were beautiful and peaceful, a wonderful place to take in a lovely sunset. The owners were kind and incredibly helpful. They went above and beyond to help us with dinner reservations and to ensure we were comfortable. The accommodations were fantastic. The rooms were gorgeous! Probably one of the most aesthetic rooms we’ve ever stayed in. Finally, the food! Absolutely delicious! We each had different breakfasts and everything was fantastic. Hot, flavorful and perfect portion sizes! Try the whiskey porridge, it was amazing!! If you are in the area, make sure to stay here!

I cannot imagine a better location. Situated directly at the southern edge of Loch Ness, a beautiful lawn rolls down to the water. We also happened to be next to the dock for our Loch Ness cruise. We simply walked through the gate on the side of the front lawn. The history of the building added to the magic.

I was surprised that checkin could be so efficient without staff on site. But I received information for a code to the front door and our room in plenty of time. The community area was very nice- the manager had started a fire in the fireplace well before we arrived and it was very warm and inviting. It took a long time for our room to warm up but the bed was comfortable and there were plenty of pillows and bedding to keep us comfortable. The kitchen area was well stocked with cereal, cereal bars, juice, and croissants. It was a great location too.

Whirlpool was great - made loads of bubbles but can only be used until 9:30pm because of neighbors.
Host was great. Location was a little smaller than expected and didn’t have the little electrical fireplace seen in the pictures.
Breakfast oats, coffee and tea and a kettle were provided which was lovely.
Room is attached to the main house which wasn’t a problem for us. Host was happy to heat something in the microwave for us.
No fridge available.
Please be aware that the bed is in fact a couch - however it has a very comfortable mattress on top so we didn’t have a problem with it.

Great place to stay if you are passing through. The room was spacious enough for all our luggage but no elevators obviously because it’s a house none the less it had cute decor with the highland cows all over. Brandy was there to greet us when we arrived. Great location, walking distance to some restaurants. They have parking which is a plus! Would stay here again.

I stayed twice, a few days apart. It was very quiet and had everything I needed. The room was clean and I was very comfortable there.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
This hotel was a special case you sometimes come across. This is a small family hotel that is just very, very charming. The restaurant has a magnificent view on the loch which enchanted us every time. Both the breakfast and the dinner we had here were just excellent and among the best we had during our 2 week stay in Schotland. The staff is limited to the family who are very friendly, helpfull so it is impossible not feel at home. There was an incredible charming reading room with a fireplace = fabulous for me as an addicted reader
Beautiful location, parking, clean and tidy, instructions and information available, good contact from owners, great to sit outside and enjoy the view with piece and quiet.
A friendly welcome on arrival. Hotel located across the road from a beautiful loch with a small pebble beach - good for a stroll, otherwise a walk is a few minutes drive away. Charming decoration in bedrooms, very comfortable bed, lovely hot water & good shower. Dinner in the hotel was delicious. We really enjoyed our short stay.
Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Lovely atmosphere and great location.
Despite our room being next to the stairs, it was still very quiet.
Comfortable and clean room.
The evening meal and breakfast were both great!
stunning view of the lock from the room and a stunning views on fact all round - didn’t see any staff but the host’s communication was very good. rooms and facilities were very clean and everything needed was at hand. ample private parking and quiet location couldn’t ask for more.
