It was very well presented, the staff were friendly, located right on the edge of the town down a quiet road and only a 5 minute walk into the centre. We would definitely recommend it and will be returning.

The room was small, but very clean and the bathroom was also small but again very clean and for just one night and the price and the very good breakfast made it all very enjoyable.

My partner and I have stayed at this beautiful welcoming hotel six times now since September 2023. We cannot fault it. The staff are so attentive and welcoming without being intrusive. The breakfasts are tremendous. We will be returning again before the end of the year.

we enjoyed the whole stay ,the accommodation was like new & beautiful, exactly as the photos. The host was lovely, it was spacious & spotlessly clean.
we will be staying again when we come to visit friends.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
John & Heather are great hosts, they're very friendly & helpful. The house was in a great location, was very clean & the breakfast was delicious. We will definitely stay here again.
I had a small but comfortable single room with a king single bed, and a small but well-equipped ensuite. Good location close to the centre in a quiet street. My room was cleaned every day of a 4 night stay (this has not been the case elsewhere in England) which made it much nicer to come back to after a day's hiking. The host Jo was very welcoming and helpful. Fabulous hot breakfast every day with no waiting to be served. Loved the fresh fruit salad!
Great location, great room, great breakfast, great hosts, with loads of lovely little extras to suit my tastes......such as organic teas. I was also allowed to bring my little dog which made it perfect.
Great location. Walking distance to restaurants, lake, shops and attractions. Awesome breakfast cooked to order plus juice, coffee, tea, cereal, fruit and yoghurt. Quiet guesthouse, comfortable bed, very very clean room and property, great shower with good pressure. Tea and coffee in room with kettle and nespresso machine. Friendly, helpful, lovely hosts full of local knowledge and recommendations. Fabulous stay. Definitely recommend.
Great location, quiet but close to the town centre. Excellent facilites with complimentary coffee, teas and homemade cake in the cosy common room. I had a single room which I found vey comfy and roomy. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and our hosts, Nicky and Paul, were very accommodating, friendly and helpful. I had a fantastic time at their guest house; I would highly recommend it and I'll try to stay there again in future visits!
A thoroughly enjoyable stay at this beautiful, well situated guesthouse. Chris and Liz were great hosts friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast in the morning was fabulous - a real plus! There was a great choice, and everything was cooked to perfection. Goodwin House is 5 minutes walk from the centre of keswick but the road itself is so quiet - perfect!
lovely guesthouse with great hosts Colin & Sarah. Very clean and comfortable with lots of nice touches. Homemade cake on offer with the option to give a donation to mountain rescue. tea/coffee facilities in room with fresh milk and bottled water available from fridge or hallway. Great choice for breakfast cereal, fresh fruit salad, porridge, full English or selection of eggs on toast. Very close to Keswick town, 5 min walk, couldn’t fault anything
