We were greeted upon arrival and shown to our rooms by Charlene (hotel owner), such a lovely woman. We were offered an upgrade, but chose to stay in the room we’d originally booked as it had a balcony. The decorations in the rooms were absolutely stunning. The rooms are so snug and beautiful. It’s so different and quirky, totally my cup of tea. The beds are 10/10 for comfort, you literally sink into the mattress.
The Gin Lounge is located below the rooms and it is amazing. I can’t remember the bar owners name but they were so helpful to my partner who’s not a gin drinker choosing flavours etc.. put it this way.. he is now!! There’s some games like dominoes or a poker set you can play. Music was chilled also. Again the decoration is just out of this world. I love how they’ve used stuff like a sewing table for furniture and the gorgeous, comfortable seats and pillows. Few snug blankets scattered around as well. Honestly it’s just amazing. It gives Harry Potter vibes to me (if you’re a fan and you go, you’ll get what I mean!). There’s a variety of different gins to choose from (over 300 im sure of!) So if you’re a gin lover, love quirkiness and love relaxing then get yourself booked here.

Highfield House offers room only accommodations a 5-minute walk from central Skipton. It has free internet, and has limited free parking for up to 3 cars on site.

Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
Andrew was an excellent host contacting us before we arrived and providing excellent instructions. We were only staying for one night and for that it was perfect. The room and bathroom were exceptionally clean with good quality toiletries. Good quality towels, etc. tea and coffee were provided. Lots of thought had gone into the furnishing and fixtures in the room. The room was comfortable and very quiet and extremely convenient for the town centre.
The apartment was great central to Ilkley town centre, the train and bus. Clean and quiet and easy to manage (the bathroom was a little small but easy enough to forgive given the amenity of the apartment). We were there for 11nights so had a good stay without any problems what so ever. A big thanks to the hosts the unit helped make the visit a success.

The accommodation was unique, elegant and tasteful in decor , with quality bath products and refreshments. The bed was comfortable with a choice of pillows and the host was charming and helpful.
quiet location, easy parking, great facilities, great location within walking distance of the lovely town with lots of eateries, dog friendly, all the locals are delightful, close drive to great attractions nearby, beautiful scenery...the list goes on. Great shops too! Treated ourselves whist the sales team supplied the dog with treats! Gift from owner on arrival. Won't spoil the surprise!
Beautiful modern property with great facilities (loved the photo book showing the place being built). Within walking distance of the town centre but nice and quiet. Debbie was a great host who checked I had everything I needed during my stay and suggested some places to visit. Would love to stay here again.
