Self check in was great - queuing at a reception desk when you've had a long drive is tiresome.
Breakfast on both days was generous and beautifully cooked - Emma even cooked me a poached egg as I'm not a fan of other kinds (sorry Emma). We were lucky with the weather - cool but sunny - and eating breakfast under the pergola really felt like being on holiday. There was a cute little dining area in our cabin had the weather not been so kind. The bed linen felt luxurious, was spotless and we slept like logs. Plenty of rugs were provided had we wished to sit outside in the evening. I was over excited by the Nespresso machine for which limitless pods were supplied. Small touches like the fresh milk (no fiddly capsules) and bottled water in our fridge were appreciated too. We followed Bryony and Emma's advice and ate at the Ram Inn nearby on our first night and it couldn't have been better so read the guest book in your cabin for advice and tips.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Super helpful and encouraging hosts. They even politely up an Australian flag to celebrate my arrival. Amazing breakfast with fresh ingredients. Quiet room that was cozy too.
Everything. The apartment was a real home from home experience. Sam and Paul are excellent hosts. Conveniently located within 25 minutes of Brighton. The village is quiet and friendly with a choice of pubs for delicious foods. We really enjoyed our stay and will certainly be back.
Very warm welcome, great host. Very thoughtful - upgrade on arrival 👌
Outstanding breakfast, freshly cooked beautifully, very generous portions, excellent!
Really quiet and comfortable room. Liked the breakfast supplies in the room. Very comfy bed.
Great location. Hurstpierpoint very nice town with useful shops nearby.
Beautiful house, beautiful eclectic decor. Lux-cottage yet homely. The rooms glowed with cosiness. Warm, comfortable, ultra-quiet room, I felt cocooned and safe. Host greeted well and booked me a restaurant, as I was late and hungry! Gorgeous breakfast room and excellent breakfast. Attention to detail.
Situated at the end of a long lane, the location was very quiet and ideally placed for an evening walk over the fields. Very friendly hosts and nice breakfast provided. Would have no hesitation in booking there again.
