First time staying in Bath, great location, far enough out of the city to not be bothered by the masses, but close enough to walk pretty much anywhere.
Excellent place to stay, lovely comfortable room, perfect for a short getaway. Bathroom was great, and furnishings were really good quality. Liked the idea of keyless access to the property and room.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Quiet location. Self check-in/out with good indications from the owner. Good sized room, with confortable classic restored beds and renovated modern environment and furniture. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Old Stables. Very comfortable accommodation and toastie warm in the autumn/winter. All the mod cons are on hand. Lovely and quiet and so peaceful. Very welcoming hosts with great communication before and during our stay. A 6 or 7 minute walk up the lane takes you to the first of two pubs in the village. We tried the Rose and Crown which was very friendly. Nice steak and ale pie. We will return to The Old Stables if we're ever back in this area.
