Sonny could not have done more to make sure our stay was perfect. He was/is an excellent host and it was lovely to hear the story of how his family came to own the hotel.
The building is beautiful, the rooms are spacious with very comfortable beds, the dining area was bright and open, the food was excellent and all the staff were 1st class.
Allerton House enjoys a location in Jedburgh, 13 miles from Melrose Abbey and 26 miles from Etal Castle. This guest house offers free private parking, luggage storage space, and free Wifi.

The breakfasts were excellent. Very nicely cooked and well presented. As were the table settings. Also our host Donna related some interesting stories about her life and travels to other countries. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she looked after us very well. The hotel is a character in itself having been a bank in a previous life. The whole place was clean and spotless. Would definitely stay at the Bank Guest House again.
The pod was really comfortable and well equipped. The location was excellent and quiet with lots of birds around with a passing deer and the 3 resident horses.

Loved everything about The Bank. Great location in the centre of town close to shops and restaurants (Adam’s Kitchen was a great recommendation, thanks Donna). Fascinating building, with loads of character and beautifully decorated throughout. My room was comfortable, spotlessly clean, stylishly decorated and quiet overnight. Breakfast was lovely; freshly cooked with quality ingredients and great coffee. Donna is a fantastic host, I was really well looked after and felt very much at home
Right in the middle of Hawick on the High Street, so ideal location for all that Hawick has to offer. Plenty of parking.

The guest House is in great location, very quiet. Alan the owner is a delight, very polite and helpful in answering questions. The bedroom was clean and tidy and breakfast was amazing. My new go to place in Hawick.
