There's nothing not to like ☺️. Chris and Tony are lovely and great hosts , full of knowledge from gretna in the war to the best places to visit and eat. The guest house was spotlessly clean , comfortable and Chris's breakfast was fabulous. The train station was an added bonus , it made it easy to enjoy an evening in Carlisle with the family. There's private parking , lovely walks and it's close to our Scottish family, so we'll definitely be staying again . Just like being at home ❤️

The room was spacious, dining room very comfortable and well laid out, breakfast first class. The decor was what you hope for but rarely find in overnight accommodation, comfortable and welcoming. Soundproofing was very good, totally quiet in the room allowing for a restful good night's sleep.

Very friendly staff, very clean and comfy and a really delicious breakfast! Can't fault our stay at all. Jackie was also a gem and helped me de-ice my car as I didn't have any de-icer which was so thoughtful. I will definitely stay again if I'm in the area.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
The hosts were very good & welcoming, the guests were lovely, the breakfast was absolutely excellent, if we had to stay near here again we would definitely choose the Kirkcroft croft guest house .
Chris and Tony were the perfect hosts. Breakfast was beautiful and plentiful. The room was charming with so many amenities. Thank you for your hospitality. Can thoroughly recommend. Excellent value.
We stayed at this Guest House on our way to the Highlands. The house is close by to the historical places, bus stop and motorway. Grace and her husband are great hosts we had a really good time staying at their guest house. Special mention for the breakfast: it was delicious and kept us full for the day's hike. We will definitely stay there again.
The facilities were really good. Decent size bathroom and bedroom. Comfy bed and everything you could possibly need for your stay. The breakfast was fantastic, especially the sausages and black pudding. The hosts were so lovely and full of great conversation. On site parking was a bonus too. Great location.
Lovely hosts - very accommodating and wanting guests to have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Lovely well cooked breakfast with good quality produce. Plenty of choice and extra if you wanted it. Fresh flowers in the hall and lots of literature/leaflets on local places of interest too.
Great nights sleep and good breakfast in a great location - what more can you want from a B&B
Everything. Very cosy and homely. Comfortable bed. Thought of every convenience. Good breakfast, hosts Chris and Tony doing an outstanding job. Great location easy walk to all. Thanks for the Pork pie!.
We liked the amiable hosts of this peaceful B&B.This is a guest house for someone looking to be treated not as a guest but as a family member. The all round experience was excellent,a proper breakfast served with cordiality.
Easy to find, great location, excellent communication with host, comfortable and quiet. Even had fish and chips delivered to the door.
