The location was optimal because it was the endpoint of the Great Glen Way stage from Fort Augustus to Invermoriston. The staff was very kind and friendly and the dinner was delicious.
Located in a small village, 20 miles from Inverness, the Foyers Bay Country House is set in private grounds and has stunning views over Loch Ness.

This place is beautiful. Only stayed the one night but that night included badgers and deer that visited the front lawn, the next day had chickens, pheasants and a lovely walk down to the Loch. We dined at night and breakfasted in the morning. In a word wonderful. Elle and Chris are just the best. I reckon if you contact them direct it may cost a tad less as well (they have a website)

Very nice and cozy little house with two sleeping rooms, just a tiny bit off the main tourist track. The host was very welcoming. We very much enjoyed a little walk around the local neighborhood. You also find good food in a local inn a few hundred meters away (though we found the dinner rather costly).
Providing free WiFi, Sunrise House is located in Inverfarigaig. Rooms have a patio with mountain views. The units have access to a private sitting room. The apartment has it's own private entrance.

Was a nice twin room and convenient as per location, kept clean and tidy, had a last min room change but no extra charge which was good. The cleanliness was the main thing to which we were extremely happy with. No issues with other visitors and for a one night stay it was very decent in terms of costs too. Wouldn't mind staying here again if we were to visit Lochness. The host was lovely to talk to, very kind and caring. Our conversation will be memorable, and the whole experience. There couldn't have been a better end to our little holiday. Thank you.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
The place was lovely, a quiet village with nice walks. Great location, room was great, had a lovely shower.
Breakfast was nice and the host was very helpful.
After staying in self-catering accommodation it was great to be in a hostel with a lot of like-minded people - a woman up from London running a marthon, a group of German climbers, everyone in love with the outdoors - lots of great books for free. We had a good, cheap and hot dinner - my veggie haggis was great - and breakfast set us up for the day. Great location close to Fort Augustus - perfect for seeing Loch Lomond and as a stopover on the way from Skye to Loch Lomond. Friendly laid back atmosphere much appreciated.
Keith and Kay are great hosts and will give you a warm and friendly welcome. Fabulous cabin in a great location for both exploring and having local amenities on hand. Would highly recommend and wouldn't hesitate to return.
This is a beautiful property, Very clean great location. Short walk to Fort Augustus.
We had a really comfortable stay here, the rooms are beautiful, it is lovely and quiet with very comfortable beds and a great shower. Fabulous breakfast with lots of choice and very well cooked. The hosts are very helpful and friendly. We will stay here again. Really happy with our stay.
Such a lovely spot in a great location! Bed was comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. Alasdair was such a great host. Great knowledge of the area and just a great guy.
