Lovely little hotel and great for a short stop off. Cozy little room, very comfortable and quiet - had a wonderful night's sleep. Hotel managers were incredibly friendly and welcoming and really went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Evening meal was very tasty with huge portions and the breakfast was great as well.

Breakfast was excellent. Being so close to the horse farm was great meaning we could visit them in the field at any time. Host was amazing with great knowledge of the area and was able to give useful advice. The hotel also had leaflets about local attractions.

We used Yearle House as a centre for completing the 2nd three day section of the St. Cuthberts Way path. Local taxi service ( Des Hood) was excellent for taking us to our start point etc. Yearle House is exceptional. If you are up for a bit of English, country-house grandeur, this is it. Mylo and Poppy are superb hosts. Breakfast was in a spacious dining room overlooking the garden and fields beyond. The coffee (my yardstick for breakfast reviews) was, I'm pleased to say, unlimited in quantity and at the top end of taste. As for the smoked trout and perfectly au-point, 'strangled' eggs...to die for. Yearle House is big. The bedroom is big. The bathroom is huge, bigger than the average B&B bedroom. The staircase is big with ancestral oil portraits lining the walls. The living room is vast and comfortable and beautifully furnished with a wood burner to add to the relaxing ambience. A well stocked drinks fridge etc at pretty-much, at-cost prices. A 'pantry' upstairs with all manner of coffee and teas and a daily, home-made, sweet treat. Superb and very quiet location a mile or so from Wooler which has an excellent, and very popular, restaurant, the Milan. This is a first-class B&B and I can simply confirm the many previous glowing reviews!
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
Lovely quiet location, interesting history, good teashop next door, hosts were friendly & accommodating. Lovely dog walks nearby. Good for exploring nearby Bamburgh & lovely beaches. Good pubs within 2/3 miles.
This was the nicest most enjoyable stay i've had in a bed and breakfast, the location, the house itself with its beautiful interior, the warmth and friendliness of the host. The room was large, beautifully decorated and scrupulously clean, I had a beautiful view over the countryside overlooking a field where the Clydesdale horses graze in the evening. I was visiting the area while on a course but I would definately return to Hay Farm House for a Holiday and have reccomended it to family and friends.
Lovely location in a quiet village. Food was very tasty and plenty of it. The property was very clean and comfortable. Our hosts were helpful and friendly.
Exceptional bed and breakfast, Rachel is a perfect host, the room was homely, clean and attention to detail 👌.
The choice of breakfast amazing , cooked to perfection , good sized portions and nothing to much trouble.
The whole home is warm, homely , relaxing , the best we have ever stay in, Highley recommend and would definitely return 10/10 is not enough.
