Everything. The room, the bathroom, the shower, the breakfast, but foremost the owners and their work re-habing the house and future plans. Very exciting!

Nice place and people here. The room was fine though the double bed and room made it a little tight since the room was small but that was not a problem really. Overall the place was fine.

The host(s) are lovely, the breakfast was delicious, the room was great. It had a really good combination of privacy in our room as well as comfortable common areas that made it feel like we were just staying with the family. Nicky was able to accommodate us for the guided tour (a later start time) and I'm so glad it worked out - the tour was one of my favorite parts of the overall trip to Scotland.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
Property was perfect. It was very clean, well equipped, everything you could ever want was there, great attention to detail, comfortable beds, great location with parking. Felt like home . Hosts communicated well and check in was easy.
This accommodation is set in a quiet location but only 2 minutes walk from the main road that has a regular bus service to Kirkwall, Stromness and Skara Brae.
This is a comfortable, clean and homely bungalow. Ideal for a few days to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the Islands.
Our host was always available if required and the cream tea that awaited us was most welcome and a lovely touch.
The houses were new builds, super comfy, well equipped, well maintained and in a great location. Nice view down to the sea, excellent location for bird watching and well located for getting to all areas of the island. Robbie and Eileen were exceptionally friendly hosts and super helpful. We loved the welcome gift of treats and dairy products. If we’re lucky enough to get back to Orkney we would definitely stay at Cottiscarth.
Very well constructed lodge. Despite some strong winds and snow during our stay, the lodge was cozy and the underfloor heating was effective. Lodge was well equipped and the owners had left some typical Orkney produce for us on our arrival.
Great location for exploring Orkney.
Very flexible hosts, accommodating late change in booking due to disrupted ferry travel.
Looking forward to a future stay.
We were met by our host who was very welcoming and helpful. A continental breakfast and snacks were provided we were able to catch up on washing. The room was beautiful and luxurious Windows looking out to the loch. Beautiful bathroom with toiletries provided. Bed super comfy. Location was wonderful close to everything but in a quiet area. We loved our stay and would recommend highly
Very comfortable, well appointed modern holiday home in great location for exploring Orkney. Hosts Robbie and Eileen were very welcoming; tea coffee and milk were provided and the basket of local delicacies was a great bonus.
