The Pines Guest House, hotel in Elgin

Featuring garden views, The Pines Guest House in Elgin offers accommodations and a garden. This guest house features free private parking, daily room service, and free Wifi.

The Pines is a fantastic property. Lyn and Lee were gracious hosts and went out of their way to help us while we were there. The rooms were spacious (maybe one too many chairs in the room we had than necessary) and the breakfasts were wonderful with a lot of options. Elgin is a very walkable city and the old Cathedral is just around the corner from the property as is Cooper Park. There is also a plethora of dining options in town. Johnstons of Elgin (wool mill) is a short walk away from the town center from The Pines. It's a great tour (add the tea option if you tour Johnstons). You also have a lot of distilleries withing a short distance of Elgin, which is in the heart of Speyside. BenRiach, Longmorn and Glen Elgin are only about three miles from The Pines. Not too much farther down the road are Glen Grant, Glen Rothes (no public tours), Glenfiddich, Balvenie, The Macallan, Aberlour, etc., etc., etc.

Blervie House, hotel in Elgin

Blervie House enjoys a location in Forres, 30 miles from Inverness Castle and 14 miles from Elgin Cathedral. There's a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay.

If I could give this an 11 I would. The room was super comfortable , private, quiet, spotless, great bed with an incredible bathing area. The owners were more than friendly;they made us feel welcome and genuinely cared. After several days when we needed to leave VERY early to travel Graham met us personally at 6 am to help us with our bags. Breakfast was served family style… this was a true inn. The area is just far enough from a small town to give the feeling of staying in a real Scottish estate. If you’re going to the Speyside area, this should be your first choice.

This beautiful guest house is at a fabulous location; it's very close to city centre and also to the railway station. Lyn and Lee are fabulous hosts; they are so very kind and welcoming. Everything at the guest house had a personal touch to it... With everything being personally handled by them,... This was inclusive of the Breakfast served which was super delicious. Overall we were very impressed by the arrangements at the guest house and would highly recommend it to everyone.

Lovely family run guest house. Right in the town centre at the end of The High Street. Very close to the Cathedral and Biblical garden. The host was charming and very helpful. A very good choice for breakfast. The house was very clean and comfortable. Only drawback, room 1, wash basin was in the actual room. It said parking available - some limited daytime parking on the road, overnight ok. A massive Pay and Display carpark opposite, but couldn't see prices. Apart from that I would recommend it. Good value for money.
