Castle View Guesthouse, hotel in Durham

Castle View Guesthouse enjoys a location in Durham, 15 miles from Stadium of Light and 17 miles from The Sage. This guest house features accommodations with a terrace.

The location, the large room with furnishings not usually included with accommodations at this price, the excellent breakfast and the extremely kind personnel. Even with Durham Cathedral being closed for matriculation ceremonies, it was a very memorable visit.

Farnley Tower Guesthouse, hotel in Durham

Farnley Tower is located in an elevated position, providing views over Durham Castle, Cathedral and surrounding countryside.

The room was spacious, and clean and very comfortable but the bathroom was a little worn around the edges (shower curtain needed replacing, the tile could use some work, some towels were frayed). Breakfast was very good. Easy, on-site parking was very convenient.

The Old Mill, hotel in Durham

Just off exit 61 from the A1M highway, The Old Mill is a traditional English Inn offering excellent food all day and private bedrooms. Durham is just 5 miles away.

We had a very nice stay at the Old Mill. Highly recommended. Our rooms were clean and comfortable with great lighting in both the sleeping area and the bathroom. They also had an electronic shower which turned out to be nice. We had our dinner at their restaurant and the food was good although they were very busy and the wait was long. We were able to get a couple of appetizers (potato skins and nachos) which helped and they were really good. Breakfast in the morning was very good as well!

Offering stylish accommodations with a bar and free WiFi, The Bell Guest house is a 4-minute drive from the center of Peterlee.

WOW,The Bell guesthouse was very clean and comfortable, and exceptionally friendly with the amazing staff that they have to assist, with no requests being too big for them. Fantastic breakfast menu with lots of choice. The hotel is well situated, being close to Seaham where I visited along with other tourist sites. I would definitely stay there again and not hesitate to recommend to friends and family. Many many thanks

The property was immaculate and tastefully decorated. Even better than the pictures. The host was very friendly and helpful. Everything a guest might need was provided. The property is very clean, quiet and a 5 minute drive from the city centre although there are local shops in the area.

The property is in a quiet residential area and is close to some super stores. It is easy to get to Durham city center and Newcastle either using a bus or car. The property itself is newly renovated and was very clean and well looked after. Very good free wi-fi throughout the house and the speed was great. The host is just a phone call away in case of any issues, though we didn't need to call Josephine on any issue!

New house in great location- pubs, take aways, restaurants and mini-supermarkets within 1 minutes walk. 2 minutes walk to bus to Durham (10 min ride) or Newcastle. House was spotless, comfortable and homely. Great host- stayed in contact to make sure we had everything we needed (which we did.) Hope to stay again!
