The Abbotsford, hotel in Drymen

The Abbotsford is a spacious Victorian property, refurbished in a contemporary style. It was featured as one of the top 10 bed and breakfasts in GB by Yours magazine.

The hotel is a three stars. The accommodation was well and the staff was friendly. We arrived late, after the last check-in time, because the traffic was blocked, and the host waited for us, after we sent him a message. We could even drink a beer and a whisky after check-in. Also we booked an extra room with a priority price. The breakfast was ok, very big portion and very hard food (scotish menu), but they oferred us a light menu, both good. In front of the hotel is a free parking lot.

We absolutely loved the beautiful, quiet location. We stayed at the upstairs apartment, and the view from there was stunning. The apartment was very clean, and everything inside the building was all very new and stylish. The bed was so comfortable, we had a wonderful experience staying at the apartment, it felt very homey and cosy. And we had our cocker spaniel staying with us too. He absolutely loved the quiet area. The host was very helpful with all the email updates. Very thoughtful. Wish we stayed more than just a night.

Set up like a lovely guest house, it's newly renovated we had a king room and it was spacious. There is no fridge which could be an issue if there for longer than a night or 2. There was no fresh milk on arrival but the host was happy to give us some which was lovely. It was a comfortable stay but the best part of was the breakfast that was included and offered in their beautiful dining room, felt like home.

A great location, unfortunately the weather meant we didn't get to spend time in the garden. Breakfast was good, lovely host. Beds comfy, room was great.

The guest house is right on the West Highland Way. We did not have the breakfast offered because we wanted to leave early for our West Highland Way but the guest house offered us a breakfast roll . They had vegan choices for the milk for our tea which was appreciated. They offered a range of DVDs to watch on the TV and a lovely piece of cake on our arrival by our host.Quiet and relaxed stay. Comfortable beds.

Brilliant wee gem of an apartment. It was easy to find, plenty of parking, very cosy and very clean. I liked that the supplied cleaning products/shower gel etc were all eco-friendly. It's in a great location, and I had a quiet and very comfortable stay. The facilities are great...everything you would need. There was a box of shortbread and milk in the fridge when I arrived. A nice wee touch! The host was great. Gave thorough instructions and was on hand for any questions. I would definitely recommend a stay here!

Dunroamin is an excellent bed and breakfast choice. The house and room were beautifully furnished, and spotlessly clean, with lovely bed linen and towels and little extras including luxury hand soap & yummy biscuits. The breakfast was delicious; cereals, fresh fruit and then a hot cooked breakfast. Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay.
