St Martins Guest House, hotel in Dover

St Martins Guest House offers accommodations in Dover, a 11-minute walk from Dover Beach and 0.7 miles from Dover Priory Station.

Usually I don’t post comments after I stay at a guest house/hotel/hostel, but for this one I just have to. As Asian, when I’m in the UK, one thing that I feel a lot from the locals is that before they see me as a person, they see me as a foreigner. I could tell that they do not see me as “one of them”. John never made me feel that why. He is a genuine person with a truly kind heart and whenever he sees me, he’s just happy to see me. He would chat about all sorts of things with me and it feels really nice to have a person to talk to as a solo traveler. Even though I’m quite young (literally just turned 20), John was never like “oh she’s quite young we probably don’t have any common language”. Other than John being nice, the guest house itself is really nice too. The room is very clean, very comfortable, and very very pretty. Also if you accidentally forget something in the guest house after you check out you can absolutely trust John for keeping it for you. Also, the house is only 16 minutes away from Dover Priory (the train station), very convenient!

Bijou Annexe, Sea View, Private Entrance & Parking - FOLKESTONE, hotel in Dover

Bijou Annexe, Sea View, Private Entrance & Parking - FOLKESTONE is located in Folkestone, just 1.1 miles from Folkestone Beach and 1.4 miles from Folkestone Harbour.

Location great. Could do with a bit of TLC, some parts were a little grubby, the garden section is shared with the hosts which is something we haven't had before with this type of accommodation so we weren't entirely sure what parts we could use and what we couldn't. The bed is on the short side for tall people like myself so I wasn't able to fully stretch out. But on the whole it was decent value for money, the location was excellent. With a few improvements this place would get a full score. The hosts were very polite and helpful.

Petite Jessamine, hotel in Dover

Petite Jessamine is a recently renovated guest house in St Margarets at Cliff where guests can make the most of the garden and terrace.

The small cottage was absolutely delightful - it was very cozy and homey, and had the essentials in the kitchenette for a quick coffee and tea before we headed back out. Check in and out was very easy, and the location was a perfect starting point for our road trip through the south of England. Dog-friendly, with a small part of the garden, clean - can highly recommend.

I love the size of the room and impress about the check-in service. The hot shower needs to be careful. It's really hot even you turned a bit. Sadly we haven't try the restaurant downstairs but it looks really good and we hope to re visit again

My last overnight stop from my vacation to catch the first ferry in the morning. The guest house is 10 minutes from the ferry so it is very convenient for travelers. The host Maria is very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is rich and delicious. The room (7) is very cozy, quiet and the accommodation including the shower is very clean. Thank you very much. This beautiful guesthouse is located right beside the train station, and within 5 to 10 minutes walk to the city center. My room was cosy and nice decorated! Everything was clean and all amenities were in a perfect working condition. There is a self check in which enables you to arrive and leave when you like. The hosts provide you with all the necessary details upon your arrival.

The hosts are very friendly. The apartment is in a fantastic location just a few minutes away from Dover Castle, the White Cliffs of Dover and more, but in a charming and quiet little village. I would definitely stay here again.

The guesthouse has a good location. It is near the city center and just a short drive to the White Cliffs of Dover (which is the main attraction of the town). Though right beside the road, once the window is closed it is fairly quiet inside the room. I was quite surprised. Users should be able to sleep well once the windows are closed.

A very nice and cosy guesthouse with a very good, gentle and nice host. He had all kinds of interessting stories to tell about Dover and its history. The room itself was decotated as a classic English room with almost vintage furniture. Nevertheless everything was very clean and the room had a fresh smell. The place was directly near the city centre but also very quiet.

The hostess was very nice and went out of her way to serve us a vegan and vegetarian breakfast. The guest house is very near to the city centre, and parking at the guest house is free. We had a lovely room with a nice view.
