We were blown away by our stay with at the Ivy Cottage. John was a fantastic host, the property was lovely, and the garden was beautiful.
John gave us lots of recommendations of where to eat locally, and provided a lovely breakfast and home comforts in the property.

Very nice Essex thatched property with annexes. We occupied all three as we had a local family gathering to attend. The units are various sizes, we had the largest with the biggest very comfortable bed and an additional sofa. Neat and tidy bathroom with nice towels and toiletries inc toothbrush and toothpaste. Nice covered patio area for sitting outside which we used as a gathering place. Tea and coffee provided in the room but bring your own breakfast or alternatively eat at the nearby golf course. Parking for people departing from Stansted airport. We would definitely stay here again.

Well equipped and very clean. Good to have self catering facilities with tea and coffee provided. Easy to find and great to be able to see the countryside around this part of Essex. Two bathrooms was a real plus and very secure
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Lovely pretty safe quiet village. Local pub in secluded situation and bar staff very helpful. Host family kind considerate and oh so helpful. Was very fortunate to find such a pleasant stop.
The property is absolutely charming. Very private and quiet. The facilities are great and the cottage was spotless. The fridge was full of food and beverages. I couldn’t fault anything.
Lovely cottage, great location. It was one of my favourite short breaks. Host was very friendly, and the welcome treats for the dog and us was greatly appreciated. I'll be returning many times in the future. Loved it
Great location for us, as we flew into Stanstead late that afternoon, and had a full day commitment the next day in close proximity. Lovely cottages, great hosts, and truly ample provisions.
This was my third stay at Ivy Todd Cottage. Wonderful hosts, very comfortable cottage with a great selection of food, spacious garden - my dogs loved being there. Many footpaths through woods and fields. Quiet and peaceful area. Well, I already booked my next visit.
The history of the property was amazing just what a English country stay is all about great location to do the park and ride into cambridge the hosts were very helpful and the amount of food given in the cottage was well above expectations close to a town if you wanted to go into town for dinner
charming self contained lodge in the garden of Ivy Lodge Cottage. The hosts were outstanding, both friendly and attentive. Lots of items to eat in the kitchen and lovely toiletries in the bathroom. Fully enclosed garden for my dog. A perfect short break.
