Very clean, good value and close to where I wanted
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
A beautifully appointed little cottage - perfect for a couple. Very pleasant and kind hosts. Great location, just over the road from a large and interesting lake with plenty of wildlife. Just a few minutes from Beaulieu, Bucklers Hard, Exbury Gardens and Brockenhurst. Very comfortable and has a lovely attached conservatory which is a sun trap. Hosts had supplied milk, eggs and bread, as well as tea and coffee. Good little farm shop only a few hundred yards away with butcher and all other vital supplies. Secure location with gated access.
Perfect base for exploring the beautiful countryside of the New Forest: everything we needed for a really comfortable, relaxing stay. Fabulous sleep thanks to the comfortable beds, stunning views and a very short walk to pick up the morning newspaper; all-in-all, exactly what I 'ordered' after a frenetic Christmas! Ian is a great host; super friendly and very quick to respond to any questions. Highly recommend; thank you, Ian!
For us the location was perfect. With the horses right outside in the morning and views over the fields. It is down a private drive and very quiet.
The bed was comfortable and there was a large tv and plenty of room. Everything was very clean.
Breakfast was a self cook streaky bacon and eggs with milk and various cereals.
Met the host before we left as she was mucking the horses out. Appreciated the late 11am leaving time.
Overall a very good experience.
Loved the location and the place itself. It was very quiet and relaxing. As self-catering, our host made sure everything was there for us. Our choice of breakfast items was amazing.
Lovely flat in a great location for exploring New Forest. We loved seeing the horses and cows from the living room window.
