We had an amazing stay at Kilmeny, Margaret is a fantastic host. Our room was perfect with a huge comfy bed, along with being immaculately clean. There was luxury touches in the rooms and even including a thoughtful gift as it was my partner's birthday. Not forgetting breakfast, which was 10/10 for both days we stayed, plus delicious homemade cakes.
Margarethe and Plea were outstanding hosts. One of a kind. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The house is up on the hill with stunning views. Lovely garden with comfortable benches, where you can relish your favorite Whiskey, that you have discovered after visiting the distilleries. Highly recommended

The building itself is very cosy and the surrounding gardens are beautiful. Our host Margaret was incredibly welcoming and friendly, she made us feel at home and helped us with advice and recommendations for our stay on the island. Breakfast was delicious and home baked cakes on arrival and in our room were a lovely surprise.
Kilmeny is a very up-market guest house not far from Port Askaig on Islay. Our room was very comfortable, with space to sit in the evening and a lovely bath and shower in the en-suite. Margaret and Blair are super hosts and made us welcome from the start and were always attentive throughout our stay. Their breakfast is out of this world and would be hard to beat in a 5 star hotel. The buffet is extensive and the cooked element is prepared to order and is perfect. There is always some fresh home-baked goody on the table to tempt you.
This accommodation is exceptional. The finest bed and breakfast we have ever experienced. We were in the suite which was exquisite in its quality and comfort. The attention to detail was incredible. The breakfast was fulsome and magnificent. Margaret and Blair were the most convivial and considerate hosts.
