The breakfast, brought to us by Mike at the exact time requested, was excellent. The location is particularly well-placed for a one-or-two night stay if visiting Southwell or Newark.

The accommodation itself is as advertised: two small cabins in the back garden of a house, each with hot tubs, adjacent to a dog kennel (they do warn you about their barking after you book). The room was basic and a little tired but the hot tub was pre-warmed for our arrival which was a welcome touch.

It had a homely feel. Comfortable bed and some thought had been put into it, lots of air heaters and towels
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Fabulous old manor house tastefully restored. Leo is a great host and invited us to join in a car event at the property on our return trip, which we enjoyed. Great for an A1 journey break.
Beautiful property in a nice quiet location. Absolutely spotless throughout. Lovely attentive owners who were always on call if needed. Nice cooked to order breakfast and amazing gardens to enjoy a drink if the weather is kind to you.
Great place to stay in a lovely village location just around the corner from the wonderful village pub. Super clean and had everything that we needed. Lots of breakfast things were left, including juice and milk, and there was even a bottle of Prosecco which was a lovely surprise! Friendly host and very helpful. Would stay again.
Everything, perfect for our needs.
The suite had everything we required and is very comfortable.
We enjoyed the continental breakfast left for us and treats.
The setting is picturesque with an abundance of flowers even though we stayed in October.
Our hosts are welcoming and kind, all our needs were met.
The location is idyllic and there was no need to cook for ourselves as the adjacent pub serves both lunch and dinner.
we enjoyed walking around the village and felt welcome.
Overall a great find in a charming village.
570+yr old manor house with lots of interesting original features including sloping and creaking floors. Quiet location. Very pleasant host who allowed us to park our bikes inside the house overnight. Great breakfast and stopover. Cyclists need to bear in mind that the local pub is shut on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Amazing place well worth the stay , great host and very welcoming , excellent room and good breakfast
