Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Super comfortable, clean and quiet room. A/C and plumbing worked great. Friendly staff. This hotel has a passage that connects with its sister hotel, the Radisson Blu, so over there it was easy to arrange a taxi driver for the morning or simply have a look around at the local art displays. The hotel shuttle met my flight, which was great. There’s a set schedule for the return that worked out perfectly well too. Would happily stay here again on the next trip to Libreville.
In a city which is known for its overpriced (and very average) accommodation, the Hibiscus Louis offers (somewhat) better value.
A standard room cost me €80 per night which didn't include breakfast. With breakfast (very average), the cost is €90.
The staff are friendly, the pool is a welcome feature (although sometimes the water is cloudy) and the suburban setting is quiet.

I enjoyed my stayed at AS Guest House. I felt at home. It is a comfy place and nice host. I spent just one night but for sure I will be back to stay longer next year. It a great stop near Libreville airport.
It's featured as a two star Hotel, but I would say it's at least a three star, two swimming pools ( which i didn't use ) the room I stayed in had a brilliant sea view, a nice balcony, AC that worked plus a refrigerator .Roof terrace with a bar and pool table, and great sea views, most if not all the staff speak English which is a great help for the non French speakers ( like myself ) i would definitely stay there again if ever in Libreville . Good value hotel, considering Libreville isn't a cheap city for hotel rooms.
Love the decor, very tasteful and reflective of contemporary Africa.
Both bedrooms and the main living room have AC, which is very useful as it gets very hot.
Both the host and the guardian of the property were exceptionally helpful.
