Full of character. Such a memorable place. As we were en route to Calais we couldn’t make the most of the stay unfortunately. The grounds looked lovely. We were made very welcome on arrival and at breakfast.

The situation in the historic centre of Le Mans right next to the cathedral is perfect. No reception (entry by keypad) but there are common spaces, including a small kitchen, large sitting room, a long table in a dining room. It was warm on a cold winter's night and comfortable. Tea and espresso coffee machine in the room. The owner was always available on the phone for info.

Private room with own facilities in a converted stable block of small chateau. Large room with good shower. Five rooms with a communal kitchen and dining area but as we were the only occupants we had it to ourselves. Very friendly helpful owner and cat. Good breakfast. Le Mans old town is well worth a visit.

The location was perfect, 5 to 7 minute walk into town, including the old town. Easy to park the car almost directly outside the property. The rooms were beautifully decorated & clean & the hosts were absolutely charming, very helpful with advice on places to see & also to eat & drink.

Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Very welcoming and charming hosts, Chantal and Pierre. Close to Le Mans, where there are a number of good restaurants, but none as good as L’Epi’curieux, where I was lucky to get the last dining table. Spacious bedroom, with a view over the river and trees; bathroom with a shower; excellent breakfast with every conceivable form of bread and croissants, with five different honeys and fresh jams; multiple fresh fruits (and a hard boiled egg). Heated and covered swimming pool in the large shady garden for a refreshing morning swim - decent size.
Hosts were charming, even carried our bags upstairs, breakfast was everything you could wish for. Host made a special trip to the shops to obtain some Earl Grey Tea. One of the rooms was double aspect and looked over the river and the very pleasant gardens. I imagine that with permission one can fish from the bank of the river. 10/10
Lovely hosts Chantal and Pierre were very charming and helpful, great place for a overnight stay will definitely use this property again hope to see you both later in the year and thank you for booking us into the bistro in the village which was brilliant,
The Manoir is in a beautiful setting bordering onto the River Sarthe. The gardens are large with plenty of seating and there is a small pool which was covered when we were there but can be open. There is ample parking and the gates are on a cops so very secure. Our room was large and comfy with air conditioning and an en suite. Breakfast is continental- eggs, nuts, fruit, pastries etc. Both the hosts were charming and welcoming. We only stayed for a night but would happily stay here again, hopefully longer and visit the surrounding area.
Great location with clear signs on the road nearby. Beautiful, traditional French manor house with lovely gardens and swimming pool. The room was really big and very comfortable. The hosts were lovely - nothing was too much trouble and they made us feel really welcome. Breakfast was excellent. Would happily stay here again.
We had the "red" room. Everything was fine. We were surprised how quiet it was as busy roads were not far away. The breakfast was very good. Our hosts were very friendly and interested in our journey across Europe by car.
Location fabulous- quiet and scenic- decor and furnishing superior and stylish- breakfast parfait! Staff and hosts welcoming and charming- a perfect Château experience.
