Maison Hulotte is a beautiful old home refurbished to perfection in the heart of Amboise. You can see the Loire River flowing and the imposing Amboise château from the windows. Agnès, a skilled potter, has very artfully restored this place. Everywhere you looked there was something to catch the eye and admire. Her studio, with its inviting roaring fire, is open to guests to sit and relax. Our room and bathroom were perfection—perfectly appointed, warm, and cozy. The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The breakfast Agnes made for us, all of which was homemade, was delicious and sumptuous. I cannot recommend her chambres d’hôtes highly enough!

We were greeted very warmly after a long drive to La Maison Genevier. The dinner was absolutely delicious and the room was very comfortable. The children enjoyed meeting all the animals. Unfortunately we did not get a chance to go for a swim due to the weather but the pool looked lovely! The breakfast was also delicious with lots of choice and all the food was exceptional quality.

Lovely and very helpful staff who let us check in early! We loved the grounds of the property and its proximity (5 minute walk) to the main square of the chateau.

The location was close to Amboise with onsite parking available. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, clean and quiet with bottled water available in the room. Our hosts were friendly, helpful and informative. Breakfast was delicious with homemade yoghurt, cereals, fresh squeezed juice and a selection of delicious pastries, breads and homemade cake available. There are multiple lounges with access to soft drinks, tea and coffee. There is even a billiard table available for use.
The was charming, and we appreciated all the nice little touches that made it feel like home. Our hosts were absolutely charming too and took the time to make us feel welcome. The breakfast was soooo good - with homemade jams!
It was beautifully presented and extremely clean. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. our hosts were absolutely charming and nothing was too much trouble. We would highly recommend !
