The little house is situated on the road to Puy-de-Dôme in the woods just outside Royat. It has a garden with parking spot and is well separated from the road, so it is a quiet place. At the back you can descend to a small river and when you cross it, walk through the woods to Royat or do other hikes. The house is very cosy and is packed with memorabilia of car racing. The small kitchen is complete (hob, microwave, oven, but very small table), there is an aircon heating system and a fireplace, a good shower, TV, DVD and bluetooth sound bar. We slept very well. For car (racing) enthousiasts, an added bonus is the library (books and DVD's) about racing. The owner lives next door and came to ask us if all was OK.

Perfect base for exploring the surrounding areas. The hostess is attentive and extremely helpful. Our French is poor and she does not speak English, but we muddled through. The breakfasts provided were delicious.
This is an industrial style building. Do not be put off by the exterior. Inside, you will find all the comforts and space you need.
