Perfect spot to relax and enjoy the beautiful Ile de Ré. Eric and Nelly are super hosts, friendly, knowledgeable, professional and very helpful. The room we stayed in was perfect, quiet, clean and comfortable. We availed one evening of the 3 course dinner Eric prepared and it was just delicious. (Highly recommend). Breakfast was very nice.

The quality of the house and the decoration is amazing. The host Alex and his wife are super helpful pre and post arrival. The location is superb, in the centre of St Martin-de-Re, close to the port but also to the city walls where you can find a free car park. There is also a discount on hire bikes for guests of La Martinoise Patio.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
The host clearly loves what she does. Super flexible and helpful, check in process very smooth. A lot of details in the room that show that she understands what guests value, clearly an experience traveler herself. The room is stylish and comfortable. The breakfast is delicious, everything fresh from the island. Definitley a place where you can comfortably stay for a while, also because it's very central and close to the beach.
We loved our stay and wish we could have stayed longer. Chrystel is a superb host, her home is amazing, very comfortable and in a fabulous location. Chrystel takes such care of her guests and is completely charming, helpful and fun. The breakfast was delicious, organic and healthy, with the best selection of jams we have ever seen! It was a treat staying here and we left with wonderful memories. We’ll definitely return.
Nice site, great location. Easy walk to the beach and centre of the town for markets, restaurants, shops etc.
All very clean and on the whole very quiet. The accommodation was small but OK. Pool good but not that big. Family orientated particularly young families. Restaurant provided some great food. Some sort of entertainment every evening. Bike hire was good.
Chrystel is a wonderful and charming host. Her house is welcoming, relaxed and comfortable, beautifully furnished and well laid out. Loved the breakfast, too, thoughtful, varied and tasty. Enjoyed great meals out on her recommendations. Didn't want to leave. Nous reviendrons.
We spend ten wonderful days at Face au Soleil in August with our son. The place is in walking distance to the city centre with restaurants and a daily market. 5 minutes by bike to the beach.
The appartments have a great mixture of relaxed stylish funiture and art. Very nice breakfast with fresh orange juice and sometimes crepes (which our son loved ;-) in the patio.
Chrystel is a great host and a very lovely and relaxed person. We will come back :-)
This cozy guesthouse is small for the price, but the proximity to the beach and its patio itself are worthy of the price (not uncommon in the area).
The nice lady who owns the place left us alone to enjoy the wonderful and quiet patio and at the same time checked on us often enough to see if we were comfortable and if we needed anything.
Location good for exploring the village on foot and short drive to St Martin, the most delightful port.
Host charming and helpful. Breakfast was excellent.
