Coming from the US, I adore finding places with history and character that transport me into another time and country and this is one of those places. The charm was delightful and beautiful every where I looked. And our hostess Marignon (spelling?) was very kind to my brother who was not feeling well as well as helpful for places to see and restaurants to visit. I hope to be back some day!

The grounds and rooms are spectacularly kept and Pascal is wonderful. He always had a recommendation for places to visit(with maps) and assisted with reservations to amazing restaurants! If you come to Provence you must stay at Les Carmes. It is very convenient to southern areas(Arles etc) and to the East(Gordes, Roussillon, Lourmarin). Traditional French breakfast is amazing and as always served with pride and attentiveness by Pascal. Pascal speaks English very well and made us feel at home.

Breakfast was a feast, Florence could be heard baking and preparing it each morning.The house, gardens and pool area were spotless, well maintained with even small things like cushions and candles on the tables, so we could sit outside and enjoy a glass of wine. We highly recommend La Villa 1777 and will return. Corrine has beautifully renovated and decorated this gorgeous 1777 villa. Our bedroom huge and beautifully furnished - our bed so so comfortable with huge bathroom. Many areas around the villa to relax as well as the pool. A lovely breakfast of fresh fruit salad, freshly squeezed juices and gorgeous pastries with home made condiments.
