Very friendly hostess with a real interest in the wellbeing of her guests. Spotlessly clean facilities. Lovely breakfast with home made jams, yogurts and fruit. The property is right next to a winemaker who gave us a wine tasting straight after breakfast, before leaving . Easy parking on site.

The hosts are very friendly and have been proposing a program for the day which we have followed, including visiting nearby town Nevers and a wine farmer round the corner who has presented his wines on offer while chatting away for some one and a half hour touching some surprising subjects such as nucleair fission.
Very nice breakfast at the small scale property hosting one group of visitors only.

A very warm welcome from a lovely and friendly host. A shared kitchen enabled us to buy breakfast from a local patisserie.
Our room had a huge bed and magnificent old beams.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
I loved staying at La Josephine. The location is exceptional - close to the train station and the city center. Marit et Herve treated me like an old friend. Since I was traveling alone, I especially appreciated this. The breakfast was very good - and so typically French, which I loved! Her coffee was excellent!
Thierry’s welcome was warm and charming and was reflected his exquisite taste in decor in this well located house. Free parking is 50 metres away but lock up garage is available opposite the front door. In our room the facilities were of top quality and the bonus was an easterly window for sunlight in the morning.
The breakfast also exceeded our expectations in a very calm and pretty room.
Lovely old property about 500m from town centre with big garden and quiet spots to sit. Separate entrance. First floor bedroom with ensuite. Very comfortable bed. Lovely breakfast served by host Marit and using locally sourced and home made preserves. Wonderful friendly hosts and they will even do a wash load if you are cyclists. It’s just off the Loire route so we’ll located as a stop off. Marit had booked us into a restaurant in town as it was a Saturday and usually booked out. Excellent food and not expensive.
The house was charming and impeccably clean. The host Thierry was absolutely delightful. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was varied and delicious.
The rooms were comfortable and clean
The location is perfect: quiet and green, but close to shops and restaurants
The host was very nice
The pool and garden are an absolute plus
