Les Grands Champs is a little gem close to Lac d'Aiguebelette. We stayed for one night, but everything was great. The rooms are lovely furnished. The grounds are awesome for families. Breakfast was exceptional. The host even let us charge our EV over night.

This is a beautiful property in a lovely part of rural France. Our room was comfortable and nicely decorated, and it was a pleasant surprise to have access to a tv room and dining table area as well. Dinner at the restaurant was wonderful. We sat on the terrace, overlooking the valley and enjoyed a delicious meal. The server was very patient with my poor French, and she made some special efforts for us - offering to allow me to enjoy the cheese plate as an entrée, and offering a more expensive bottle of wine for the same price when the bottle I ordered was not available. The breakfast in the morning was a good variety and large portions. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay here.

This is a very special place in a country suburb outside Voiron, near Grenoble and very close to many of the beautiful valleys of the French Alps including the Chartreuse Valley and St Pierre de Chartreuse (made famous in the book Auberge of the Flowering Hearth). The apartment is very well appointed especially for self catering guests with a fully functional kitchen and everything you need to cook. There is a lovely pool. Best of all are all the animals on the property including cat, donkey, llama, sheep, pig and more. They are friendly healers and you can pet them freely.
Your hostess is so friendly and delightful. I stayed alone but kids would love this place to hang out with all the animals. I’d love to come back again and spend more time here. I actually enjoyed staying at the lower altitude rather than in the mountain villages and it was quick and easy to get up into the mountains from here.
