Everything fine. The host was super-nice! He waited for my arrival at midnight and was up again at 6 a.m. to offer me coffee before I left. Great bathroom with hot showers. Beds are bit old but ok :-).

David is a very kind host who will makes it an ejoyable stay. He has good tips for restaurants an places to visit. He even helps out with the reservations. We received a free room upgrade because the bigger room was available which was very nice! Facilities, breakfast and room was very good.
A tip: join David with the aperitief at 7PM each evening to get the real French experience.

A unique style gites in the middle of a beautiful small French town (Chantelle). Pleasant garden/terrace including a pool, chickens and a vegetable patch. I had a lovely home cooked vegetarian meal and a glass of wine followed by a wander round the town. Steeped in history there's an abbey, church and plenty of old buildings as well as a footpath down to the river (I only went half way as it was late evening) there are 2-3 restaurants if you'd prefer to eat out ( I arrived late)
