The property was well located with a 5 minute walk into the old city centre. Our room was one of three, spotlessly clean and very quiet. There was a fully equipped communal kitchen including a washing machine. The pool and surrounds were very clean and pool towels were provided. The owners, who live on the property in a separate house, had very little English but there were a list of rules in English posted in the room. We were provided with a lovely continental breakfast and freshly made pancakes from 08.30. Parking was on a small grassy public area beside a no through road.

Personal touch of greeting on arrival. Delightful evening meal joining with other guests together. Hotel in centre of quiet village, with flights of swifts and house martins overhead.

We were welcomed by very nice hosts (Flore and Pierre) who did everything to make us feel comfortable. The breakfast is lavish, and we enjoyed the conversations with the other guests and the hosts. Many sights (Rocamadour, Martel, the Dordogne river) are close, and Flore gave us great advice on how to get there. We also strongly recommend the excellent restaurant "La Terrasse", which is just a five-minutes walk from Le Kouloury.

Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Everything about Le Clos Rodolphe was excellent. The attention to detail and decor was beautiful. Breakfast on the terrace was lovey with homemade jams and local bread. The hosts are very knowledgeable and helpful with everything.
Hazel is a great host, really welcoming and helpful. The accommodation was spotless and perfect for our one night stay. We loved the kitchen dining area - a really useful extra space. Delicious breakfast with fresh bread, croissants and home made jams.
The Chateau and its setting is stunning. Our room was more than we expected, large with high ceilings, beautifully decorated and the bathroom was equally elegant. Our hostess was charming and very attentive and welcoming. Breakfast was sumptuous. With home cooked treats each day.
Very nice old house full of charm and history, in an incredible pretty environment. Great host and great greeting, very tasty breakfast. A good experience.
