Only 25 mins from Santander so perfect for a late arrival/early departure into Spain. Very quiet location, perfect for us. We were travelling with two dogs and were staying a suite type room with plenty of space for our Rottweiler to spread out and no extra cost for the dogs. Also secure off road parking. Located in a very pretty village.
Located 100 metres from the centre of Santillana del Mar, Hospedaje Villa Pilar offers free Wi-Fi and free parking nearby. Free films are available for the DVD player in each room.

As a budget bikepacker I like to get value for money. I got it here. Modern spacious room with private bathroom. A fan in the room and tv plus ample cupboard space. Spacious kitchen with dining tables. Very comfortable here. Didn't mind having to stay an extra day due to the rainy weather (November)

Host was extremely hospitable...room very clean and fresh and was daily left a complimentary surprise snack as a gift
Was round the corner from the tourist information and the town hall and only a few to five minutes walk from bars and restaurants.
Also within ten to fifteen mins walk from the bus station.
This would have got a higher mark but for the items below. Remarkable room - or rather, suite. Lots of space to store clothes etc, very nicely decorated, large and well-appointed bathroom with Jacuzzi (extra charge), shower, twin basins etc. Very comfortable bed - probably the best night's sleep I have had for a long time! Helpful host and adequate parking in semi-private road. Quiet and close to a number of bars and restaurants.
Great location right on the town centre a short stroll from it much everything. Quirky and lovely decoration. Nice linens. Everything was clean and worked as it should . Helpful host.
