The palace garden was beautiful as was the palace itself. Jose went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable and attended to. After our daily excursions, We brought wine and cheese to enjoy in the gardens and jose brought out plates and wine glasses both nights. He was gracious and attentive. we will absolutely go back.

The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming and enthusiastic to assist us. Everything we needed was provided…especially the wringer for our clothing since we were on Camino. The balcony is enjoyable for relaxing.

We spent 2 nights at Hostal Itzalargikoborda and also ate both dinners and breakfasts there. The hostal is in a lovely agricultural area near a river about 2 km from Elizondo. There are 4 rooms only. Our room was comfortable with a private bath and good wifi. The host was exceptionally friendly and welcoming as was her husband.
Dinner was excellent both nights. We had a starter, fish and dessert both evenings plus wine. They used to run a small restauarant until shortly before the pandemic, so know how to cook well. Breakfasts were complete--coffee, fruit, breads, yogurt, all served in a glassed in porch overlooking their property. We really enjoyed spending time in this beautiful corner of Navarra and exploring the nearby area, including a long hike in Senorio Bertiz.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
We were stopping one night after having done 2 nights in hostels on the camino, coming from St Jean des pieds. We'd booked the hotel as the hostel which is attached to the hotel was full. It was great. Helpful staff, delicious 3 course dinner for 25euro, wonderful clean and spacious apartment. The hotel, a former monastery was wonderful respite and a treat after 2 difficult days of walking.
Quiet, comfortable, spotless and a great stay. The room is amazing. Spacious bathroom. Has everything you need exceptional WIFI. As pilgrims are in the restaurant and had pilgrim menu. So many choices and so good.
On my way to Portugal I chose this hotel. It was my second visit to this hotel. The rooms are basic, but the bed is very good and there is everything you need. The hotel is on the camino Santiago so you have to book it a few month before arrival. The place is quiet so you can have a good night sleep.
Our reception was friendly and professional after our long day hiking from Saint Jean de Pied de Port. The reception area was large enough to welcome several trekkers. Our host clearly explained the accommodations, neighbouring restaurants and our breakfast options. Our breakfast the next day was exactly what we needed to set us off on day 2 of our Camino experience.
