The best accommodation I've had lately. It was a wonderful place to stay, and I did a lot of hiking, and felt so good when I'm back in the flat. Great location, everything is 5min away by walking. Organization and communication were easy, they were a WhatsApp message away from me, and provided me with great support!

We liked Everything!! El Molino del Abuelo is really an old mill handed down through generations from their grandfather just as the name implies! It is family run and has been operating as a BnB for a decade. We met the two brothers and Mother and all our lovely. The two brothers are well traveled around the world and speak English, but both were happy speak Spanish with us so we could practice. Because they are so well travel, they know what it takes to create a wonderful place to stay when one is traveling. They are all very friendly and kind and want to make your stay feel special and unique and cater to your own interests and needs. We had good conversations with both brothers and they gave us lots of recommendations and good conversation.
Every corner of the house and gardens is thoughtfully curated and uniquely, artistically designed. We didn’t even have enough time to see all the details because they were so many thoughtful ones. The gardens are fabulous, the 2 pools are amazing, the view from the roof pool and roof deck is stunning, especially at night with the stars and the full moon. We only wish we had more time to stay and enjoy all the corners and places to relax.
On our last morning, we opted for the breakfast, and boy are we happy we did! Don’t leave without trying their amazing breakfast! There were so many types of fresh fruit and vegetables from their gardens— oranges, apricots, figs, peaches, apples, tomatoes, and blackberries, along with homemade jams and pesto and grape juice pressed from the grapes hanging over your head on the terrace. Plus, eggs and cheese and yogurt and granola and….It was really abundant and amazing! There was so much food and such variety and all were grown, crafted, cooked and made with love and care just for us. They really made us feel special. We wish we could’ve stayed much longer!
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
Beautiful location. We came to ride and had a fantastic experience. The dressage lessons in particular were excellent on beautiful horses. We hadn’t expected the food which was extraordinarily good. Foodies will absolutely love this place! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend La Donaira, a small but perfectly formed boutique hotel.
A great place to stay:
- a very comfortable apartment with a wonderful view
- located in a beautiful small, quiet town
- we were able to park the car right next to the apartment
- very nice and friendly hosts, who provided us with info about the town and nearby attractions
- great location, not far from Ronda and between Malaga nad Seville
The views, the location, the peace and quiet, the lovely hospitable hosts, the quick and friendly responses to messages when our flight was delayed, the warmth and comfort even in Winter, the homely touches. Just everything is done well and with care. We will be back, and we highly recommend.
The house is unique as the description shows. It is very spacious and very comfortable. The views from the main terrace were beautiful. The village is pretty and quiet but with bars for a peaceful drink or snack, There is one restaurant which is also very good.
The villages roundabout are all very pretty and friendly.
David is a superb host; very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable; nothing was too much trouble.
The hostel is located in a small and quiet pueblo blanco. It is not far form many of the villages like Olvera, Grazalema, Zahara and Ronda
The place accepts animals and you have a very good breakfast on the weekends. The managers are very nice persons. There is a pool on the premises. For the price it is a great value.
