The bathroom was new and I liked that I could make some tea with the kettle that was outside. The food in the restaurant San Jorge was really good!

Casa Arenas was set just above the town and was seriously gorgeous. It would be stunning in summer (we went at the end of Oct). The staff were so welcoming, but gave us plenty of privacy, ensured we were comfortable and had everything we needed - and sharing details of places to eat. The fire was always on in the little common area/entry and a kettle with all warm beverages required - breakfast is an option they offer. The oil wall heaters were on timers, so our room was snug too. It appeared to be recently given an interiors update, nice curtains, and bedding details.

This is an amazing Hostal located at the bottom of the valley and only a short walk to the beginning of the Ruta de Cares walk. Parking is on site. The rooms are clean and comfortable with shared bathrooms. Breakfast was provided by very friendly and helpful staff and was excellent.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Excellent communication from the host, very comfortable and spacious apartment, well equipped with everything you need to feel at home, great location, grocery stores right across the street, restaurants and bus to Picos a short walk away, great value, would definitely stay again
Good location near town centre with parking nearby. We could lounge in the garden or upstairs on an enclosed balcony. The room was comfortable, quiet, and clean. Great shower.
Lovely hosts.
Excellent localization in the centre of Arenas. Well-equipped kitchen available for guests. Room comes with your own bathroom, which is small but really clean, and the bed is very comfortable. The host of the pension is friendly and helpful.
Great place and great hosts. The rooms are comfortable, and if you are with a dog you will have a separate entrance. There is a bar open until 11 pm, free parking at the hotel, breakfast. The hotel owners speak excellent English and there were no problems with check-in.
Absolutely love the location of this property, staying in a quiet village up in the mountains was wonderful. Despite this, you are still really close to many great locations in the Picos de Europa!
We had a car and it was a great location for lots of hiking. close to town with lots of restaurants, bakery etc. We had room 27 at the back of the hotel which was quiet and no rooms above. only heard the odd door closing. Very comfy bed and pillows and spotlessly clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful even though I messed them around by asking for a different room. We ate in the restaurant one night which was fine, not cheap but not silly prices and nice just to wander back upstairs !
Our host, Begoña, is a warm, friendly, kind, and hospitable charming woman! The location is central, extremely quiet, and with a stunning view of the mountains. We had a nice room with direct access to a small garden where you can enjoy a glass of wine or eat your breakfast. The small supermarket is 2 min away. We wanted to exceed our stay here (cause we really enjoyed this place) but unfortunately, our room is no longer available on that day.
Rustic charm, and the hostess was wonderfully helpful. Great location for exploring the Picos de Europa. Free parking. Sleep with the window open and let the babbling brook lull you to sleep. The town of Arenas de Cabrales is a sweet, quiet country town, with a very important cheese tradition. The kitchen facilities were great.
