We stayed at Casa Filomena as a first stop on a short term move to Barcelona where our high school daughter is doing a semester in school. Casa Filomena was the best possible place for us to start our adventure. The place was incredibly comfortable, clean, and beautiful. The location on a pedestrian street, that is safe, yet filled with restaurants and cafes was so good we have chosen an apartment right near by for the rest of our stay in Barcelona. If we could have rented both rooms at Casa Filomena for our whole stay, we would have! Pati was beyond wonderful and helpful, recommending restaurants, gyms, and even taking us to see apartments. She made an incredibly wonderful and healthy breakfast, including fresh fruit from her own trees. She was not only the owner of an amazing, friendly bed and breakfast, but my first friend in Barcelona, who I will continue to cherish and stay in touch with.

It was a great place to stay! We really enjoyed it. Breakfast was simple, but very good, coffee machine worked until 9 pm. The place was quiet and cosy.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
Very chic and clean place! I like that it's not right in the city centre so I got to experience a bit more like a local as I explore the area around the hostel. And definitely, quieter and more peaceful in the evening than if it were in the city centre. The staff were also helpful and friendly. Thanks to this experience, I know that I would enjoy their other branches in other cities in Europe. They have regular activities weekly so it helps with more bonding, otherwise it might not be a very social place
was best hostal I have stayed in barcelona but still basic but great location - booked quiet room long time ago but was nxt to reception and didn;t sleep = but reception were nice and were going to change room
loved lift
Great host, comfortable rooms, great terrace where you can drink morning caffe and eat your breakfast (caffe machine and sweet snacks at your disposal 24h), and drink wine in the evening. Commune space also includes a fridge. Great location, 10-15 minutes walk to the centre of Gothic part of the city. Metro Line 1 and 4 just across the street. If you come to the Barcelona unprepared there are maps and city guides wait for you to take them.
The room was clean and quiet! NO noise from outside or other rooms.
To sum up, great stay, thank you.
We stayed there for five nights. It was everything we needed and more! Sophia was a great hostess, very helpful and discreet at the same time. The room was very spacious, well equipped and bright. There was water, wine and two bags with coffee capsules , tea bags, oil, vinegar and sugar in the kitchen. The area was very convenient, close to public transport and the city center and there is a super market just a few meters away. Although being in a busy and vibrant area, it was very quiet.
Hostal Centric provides just what it advertises: clean, convenient, no-frills pension-style accommodation with good customer service. The room was smallish but adequate. The front-desk service was excellent. The location is just outside the busiest parts of the city, but easily walkable to many attractions, and on a fairly quiet street. Overall Hostal Centric is good value, as hotel prices in Barcelona are not exactly cheap.
Our apartment was clean and comfortable. We went to a local place for an evening meal which was only a short walk downstairs, El 68 is a great host so location wise for Mila is amazing. Apartment was charming and we did have a lovely view at La Sagrada Familia which was a big surprise. You can literally walk to La Sagrada Familia in 10 minutes or use Bolt as a very easy way to travel to the city centre.
The flat was very comfortable and clean. It is also in a great location, closed to a number of nice restaurants and the city centre. Stephan was also a great host, very responsive and friendly.
