Location, self-check in, cleanest kitchen and dining room, vending machine that sold more than just chips and candy but sausages and ham you could use when you cook in the kitchen, most friendly staff who was not around most of the time but reachable through calls and messages in just minutes, tech lock and code access to the room (but remember to bring your phone with you whenever you're out of the room even when you're just going downstairs to the kitchen because I forgot my code and left my phone in my room 😂 had to seek help from my neighbor to contact the staff and be reminded of the access code again, but the staff was still very friendly about it), cleanness level of the room and the private bathroom, nice balcony view.

The Hostel la Catedral was very clean and neat. Three twin beds with textile sheets, blanket, and comforter as well as an extra (heavy) blanket and pillow for each bed. Toiletries (toilet paper, soap, and shampoo were provided as well as towels. Free wifi and a small TV were also provided as well as adequate outlets to recharge phones.
The room was on the 2nd floor (a very small elevator was provided, but we walked up)
The hostel is located approximately 400-600 m from the catedral front door. The building is secured with a locked door with a key code for return access. Very easy. The photos were spot on.
A small fruit/vegetable market was out the door, just a few steps away. A wonderful bakery was also very nearby. Excellent location.

This is a family run pension and the attention to detail was amazing. the rooms are beautifully appointed and the breakfast was excellent. It was definitely worth the extra couple of kilometers out of Azofra and it was an easy detour to rejoin the Camino the next morning. Absolutely loved this place.
Very friendly, patient and welcoming family. I travelled with my kids and our dog and we had a perfect pitstop at this sweet little pension in the middle of nowhere in Spain (while going from one coast to the other).
